Helping Students Achieve
Dr. Greene will advocate for evidence-based reading interventions aligned with county and state guidance, increased reading support in collaboration with educators, families, and community partners, and continued focus on STEAM. With a focus on best practices for increasing literacy skills, Dr. Greene will continue to promote awareness of the factors that may impede a student’s ability to exceed grade-level standards.
Student Literacy
As a school psychologist in Natomas USD and current professor of school psychology, Dr. Greene understands the impact that inadequate supports can have on all students. Therefore, he will advocate for increased support for students on IEPs and 504 Plans while ensuring services, accommodations, goals, and achievements are met. He will also seek to retain and increase staffing, maintain open communication with families, and provide continued support to families facing housing insecurity and/or raising foster children.
Student Supports
As a school psychologist in Natomas USD, Dr. Greene prioritized student safety and supported multiple schools during times of crisis. He also believes that each student deserves to be seen and heard, regardless of background. Therefore, to ensure student safety, he will advocate that Natomas USD retain and increase social-emotional support staff, establish community partnerships focused on safety, collaborate with state associations on best practices on improving school safety, and seek to improve the social-emotional climate of all Natomas USD schools.
